Construction of the pond embankment began in 1999, utilizing a zoned earth-fill dam type with a total fill volume of 0.355 hectometer cubic and a foundation height of 31 meters. The reservoir has a water storage capacity of 0.685 hectometer cubic and is planned to irrigate approximately 308 hectares of agricultural land.
