The contract for the project was signed on February 5, 2025, with General Directorate of Eti Maden Enterprises. Designed to achieve an annual production capacity of 5,000 tons, the facility will feature two fluidized bed dryers to support its operations. The facility is structured around five key units: Raw Material Storage, Preparation, Weighing & Feeding, Drying & Packaging, and a Cooling & Silica Gel Rotary Dehumidification Unit. This modern industrial plant is set to enhance efficiency and contribute to the advancement of high-purity boron production.

The total global boron production capacity is approximately 5.7 million tons, with Turkey holding the largest share at 48%, followed by its main competitor, the United States, with a 21% market share. With completion of this project, Türkiye aims to further expand its production capacity and strengthen its leadership in the global boron market.
